A Commitment Ceremony is just like a wedding ceremony except without any of the legal requirements. At the core of a Marriage Ceremony and a Commitment Ceremony are the vows. These are the promises made to each other for life. People make these vows, not for legal, cultural or religious reasons. They make these vows because they love each other and want to recognise and celebrate the special partnership they have. Same sex couples or anyone who does not want the legal components of a marriage can enjoy a loving ceremony expressing their feelings for each other in front of relatives and friends.
Commitment Ceremonies are a sacred and special way for the two of you to express your love openly and from the heart in front of your family and friends, or in an intimate and private gathering between the two of you.
Just like a marriage ceremony, I will present you with a special folder with all of the above information to make the designing process an easy and enjoyable experience.
You will also receive a Commitment Ceremony Certificate and a copy of the ceremony. What is important is that the two of you are completely happy with creation of your commitment ceremony. This is your special day!
